Hardware moca cable disconnected fios10/5/2023 ![]() With auto it doesn't work either, the moca device told me to use it so i tried again while taking that screenshot. It must be some terrible wiring, the moca led doesn't light up in my room I didn't even notice it. Yeah, it works fine on my tv in the living room. The issue is Apartment comprelexe dont run Coax "Properly", so some times you have to do some digging. If they work, then you know its good, if they dont, well that means that wall outlet is not connected to anything. Even if you want to use your own modem, the ONT doesn’t have any port. The ONT acts as a modem, so you don’t need another. The easiest way to check if your wiring is good is to either connect a Cable box or the gateway to that line. Unfortunately, you can’t use your cable modem with Verizon Fios. While Non Moca splitters can work, it can cause interference from what I have heard. Verify you have an IP address and connected to the internet. Connect a coax cable between the two MoCA adapters. Connect the Ethernet of 1 MoCa adapter into a PC or laptop. Ensure that what ever splitter your using is rated for Moca. If you think you have them connected properly, do the following to verify that the MoCA devices are working: Connect the Ethernet of 1 MoCA adapter into your router/modem. Im going to guess its an issue with wiring. I dont have a Comcast gateway siting in front of me to know where all those settings are. It helps instantly establish a lightning-fast network in your house. Secondly you need to make sure its outside the range of the DHCP server or you will have issues down the road. Purchase a MoCA adapter if you have FIOS TV service. So even if my FiOS plan isn't that fast, I want my local network to be fast.Still the IP address your using is not valid with the network you have. I'm more concerned about the speeds between the devices on both sides because I have a server that I want fast speeds to on all Wifi points. I think it might be 75 up and down actually. So I plug a MOCA adapter into the cable drop and hang the AP off the MOCA. There are a few places in my house where I dont have ethernet wiring for a Unifi AP but I do have a cable TV drop. I also use Unifi access points throughout the house. My Internet is only I think 100 up and down, I forget the exact speeds. I use a Verizon Fios router as my main router. Now if I get 2 MoCA 2.0 bonded adapters, (or does anyone know if you can still ask Verizon to switch the ONT to deliver Internet over coaxial directly and what version MoCA that is?), would the coaxial cabling matter in speeds? I've seen splitters matter, but I'm more concerned the coaxial cable is really old for 1Gbps. I have absolutely no idea how old this cable is, I just know it works. your computer directly to your router using an Ethernet cable Disconnect from any VPNs. I've been thinking of moving my equipment all upstairs into a room that only has coaxial run through the wall. Locate a coax wall outlet near where you wish to place your TV. Well I have the g1100 as a client serving the STBs in the house, while a PFSense router has the ethernet from the ONT. Ok so I have FiOS and they changed out our ONT a few years back and we have internet coming through ethernet from the ONT versus before it was coaxial.
